Just a
friendly reminder...
Tuesday, September 4, is the last day to submit nominations for the 2013 Book Club in a Box collection! I'm excited to see what you and your book clubs are interested in reading this upcoming year.
Voting for the collection will begin on September 20, so I encourage all of you to vote! You can, again, vote on paper at the library or here on the blog.

Hello adult librarian,
Here are my suggestions for this year's clubbed-box-book ballot.
My first suggestion is The Last Man by Mary Shelley. In the future, Britain is a republic. One of her former leaders tries to liberate Greece, but his efforts are rendered superfluous by an epidemic. A shepherd and a former prince try to rectify the situation.
My second suggestion is Y: the Last Man, Vol 1: Unmanned, by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra. While society reconfigures itself in the wake of a great plague, a young man and his pet monkey search for his ex-girlfriend who, he suspects, might hold the key to a cure. This book is part of a series that won an Eisner award.
To avoid intervening clouds, I have left some relevant links on my blog. Thank you for your good work and for your consideration.
